Our Philosophy

We love movies. After watching a terrific movie we often wonder "how on earth anyone is going to top it". Still, at least once a year we get treated to a movie that seems to go where no movie has gone before. Such a movie can get hold of us and won't let go for days.

Why do we mention this? Because a movie is a perfect example of something that gets 'great' because of synergy between people working on it. A movie can fail miserably even if it features the best actors in the world. Look at the end titles of a great movie and you'll realize that hundreds of people contributed their talents to make the difference between a mediocre film and a great one. Although it may take a genius to think of the idea, we think an exceptional movie is born when everyone working on it understands the idea and is willing to contribute to it.

Software is just like that! We've seen good ideas turned into mediocre products because individual developers didn't understand or believe in them. Or simply because the team didn't follow a focused strategy. Fortunately, once in a while we come across software that is simply wonderful. In the tools and systems we use, we have found common ground with others who share this view.

We believe that our job as developers is to only contribute to the puzzle what we are good at. The tools we choose give us "the power to be our best" while having fun at it, too. If our customers feel empowered by our products in a similar way, then our mission is accomplished.
